Step 1: Adding Warmly's Script Tag To Your Website

To begin tracking and enriching website traffic, you’ll need to add Warmly’s script tag to your site.

Once installed, your dashboards will begin populating with visitor insights.

Step 2: Creating Segments

Segments allow you to filter website traffic so your Slack alerts are relevant and actionable. Think of Segments as your targeting rules - so only the most meaningful visits trigger notifications.

Common segment criteria include:

  • Company HQ location

  • Employee count

  • Industry

  • Estimated annual revenue

  • Filtering out specific domains

  • Excluding universities or government traffic

  • And much more!

Start by building Segments that reflect your ICP or priority accounts.

Step 3: Creating Slack Alerts

Once your Segments are created, it’s time to create Slack channels and configure Slack Alerts. We recommend starting with one main Slack channel for ICP-aligned traffic.

After a week of reviewing traffic patterns, consider adding:

  • A high-priority channel for your strongest ICP tier

  • Additional channels tailored to specific teams or use cases
